Leon Stolle

Leon joined the DIW Graduate Center in October 2022. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics from the Goethe University Frankfurt and a master's degree in economics from the University of Cologne. For his master's thesis, Leon compared different machine learning algorithms in predicting corporate defaults. The thesis was written in cooperation with the Deutsche Bundesbank and aimed at improving climate risk stress tests. During his master's degree, Leon worked as a research assistant at the international economics department of the German Economic Institute in Cologne. His research interests lie in the fields of climate policy, intersected with either financial or international economics.
