Prof. Dr. Sabine Zinn is an applied statistician who deals sampling issues, the weighting of the SOEP data, the imputation of missing values and the development of a comprehensive survey quality process. Before joining SOEP, she studied business mathematics at the University of Jena and worked as a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock in the field of statistical demography. She then worked as a statistician at the University of Bamberg in the project National Educational Panel (NEPS) and then became head of the Survey Statistical Methods department at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories in Bamberg. Sabine obtained her doctorate in "Modelling and Simulation" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University Rostock and her teaching qualification in "Survey Statistics" and "Demography".
