Boryana Ilieva is a PhD student at the DIW Graduate Center. Her research interests lay in the fields of structural modelling, labor economics, and nonparametric microeconometrics. She holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University Mannheim and a M.Sc. in Economics and Management Science from the Humboldt University in Berlin. In her current research project, she is discussing the long-run effects of extended periods of part-time employment for females in Germany using a dynamic discrete choice model. Prior to joining the DIW, Boryana worked as a Forensic Data Analysis intern at KPMG and a Management Consulting intern at the Deutsche Bahn AG. During her studies she worked as a research assistant at the departments Microeconometrics and Management at HU Berlin.
