Research Topics and Working Areas

Jana Hamdan is a Research Associate in the Department of International Economics. Her research focus is on Financial Development and Behavioral Economics. After obtaining her M.Sc. in Economics at University of Potsdam, she joined the PhD program DIW Graduate Center in 2017. During her doctorate, she interned at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and conducted field research in Uganda. In April 2022, she received her PhD from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
