Since 2018 Martin Kroh is Professor of Quantitative Methods of Empirical Social Research at the University of Bielefeld. Before he was professor for Social Research Methods, in particular Survey Methodology at the Institute for Social Sciences of Humboldt-University Berlin and within the department "Socio-Economic Panel" at the DIW Berlin responsible for sampling designs, attrition analyses, and weighting. He received a BA in political science at the University of Bamberg and a MA at the Free University Berlin. He defended his PhD thesis at the University of Amsterdam in 2003. The title of the dissertation is ‘Parties, Politicians, and Policies: Orientations of Vote Choice Across Voters and Contexts’. Besides survey methodology, the research interests of Martin Kroh include political attitudes, political participation, and electoral research.
